Pamela R. Bauer, E.A.

Pamela has a degree in Business and Accounting and has been working for the small business community since 1997. She is the founder of Abacus & Co. Pam's enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an enrolled agent. She writes for several business magazines, maintains a blog and publishes a monthly newsletter. In addition, she speaks to small business groups on how to account for their business and what they should know in order to be successful.
Pamela enjoys the distinction of being a Leadership Culture link Consultant and facilitates monthly peer focused Business Peer 2 Peer Roundtables for business professionals and leaders. She is very active in her community and belongs to the RBA, SBC, NATP and NAE.
Pamela also enjoys boating, reading, traveling, music and spending time at her Lake house in the Adirondacks or bare-boating in the Caribbean. She is married to a local restaurateur and has 4 beautiful children.

Joela joined Abacus in 2007. Prior to joining Abacus she worked for a local firearms business; AmChar; for 17 years as Head of Finance. Additional she spent some time working for a major industrial food machinery distributor as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.
Jo has an extensive back ground in bank reconciling, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, sales and the knowledge it takes to run a business. She is QuickBooks Pro Certified and a Notary Public. She works with a variety of clients; some of them include photographers, optical, auto repair, restaurant owners, and many other industries.
Joela is married and has 2 children. Her interests include reading, music, crocheting and making jewelry. She is dedicated in supporting her daughter’s cheerleading and loves spending quality time with her family. She believes in always learning and growing.

Shannon joined Abacus in 2011. Shannon spent 10 years with Frontier Communications where she was the Senior General Ledger Accountant and was responsible for managing monthly accounting entries, reporting and analysis. She obtained her B.S. in Accounting from New York Institute of Technology, New York. Shannon enjoys combining her good organizational skills and sharp eye for detail with her interpersonal and communication skills. Her responsibilities; as a Full Charge Bookkeeper; for Abacus, are to organize, compile, reconcile and report financial information for her clients within the scope of their individual requirements. She is proficient in QuickBooks and has experience in preparing tax returns.
When Shannon is not working at Abacus, she is most likely hanging out with her two children. They enjoy fishing, camping and listening to music.
